Which rules protect an SMC / ICT execution plan?
SMC/ICT traders usually look for intraday setups on NAS, US30, US500 or major forex pairs: liquidity grabs, order blocks, fair value gaps and session-based entries. The recurring prop-firm problem is that news restrictions, aggressive trailing drawdown and consistency rules can break the strategy after the challenge is passed.
The real filter is not the brand name. You need news-window clarity around London and New York, drawdown that does not punish scaling, no harsh daily profit cap, usable spreads on indices/futures and a payout minimum that fits frequent smaller wins.
For many SMC/ICT profiles, futures-style firms such as Alpha Futures, Lucid Trading and Tradeify are worth investigating first because EOD/static-style drawdown and clear intraday rules can matter more than a large advertised account. Forex options like FTMO, The5ers, FundingPips and FundedNext remain useful, but only after checking the exact program rules.
